Enter your legal first name, legal last name, and any email address. This email address will become your username, which is not visible to other users. Remember this email address, as it will be the one you use to log in to your DocbookMD account.

When you enter your name, you may need to verify with your partnered medical society or enterprise group to make sure the name you are using matches what they have listed.

You will be presented with a list of possible account matches. Choose yourself from the list and choose Yes, this is me to begin the registration process.

If you are not listed in the registration search, it may be caused by one of the following:

  1. You are not a member of one of our partnered medical societies or enterprise groups.
  2. You may have entered a name that is different from what your medical society or Enterprise has on record. Try registering with the name your medical society has on record for you.
  3. You already have an account with us. Return to the Login screen and attempt to log in with your email address.

You will be presented with the Validation section. Choose Let's get Started.

Enter the last four digits of your social security number and the zip code shown on your driver's license.

You will be presented with a series of security questions. Do your best to answer as accurately as possible. DocbookMD is unable to see this information. It's generated by a third party who receives its data from public records and your credit history. This information is used for verification only and will not display in the app.

Once you have answered the security questions, you will be brought to the BAA screen. Sign the HIPAA BAA by entering your full legal name. This is considered your electronic signature. A copy of your signed BAA will be emailed to you for your records.

Create a password. Your password must be at least eight characters long, containing at least one capitalized letter and one number.  Verify the password by retyping it and click the “Next” button.

You are done! Click the button that says " Click here to login to DocbookMD on the web" to log in for the first time.

Enter the email address you registered with and the password you just created.

You are now successfully registered for DocbookMD. You can begin to share HIPAA compliant messages with your colleagues.

Troubleshooting:

"Oops! Unable to find Physician"

If you receive this error, you may be listed under another name in our system.  Check with your medical society or Enterprise to verify the name you are listed under their records.

You may also not a member of one of our partnered medical societies or enterprise groups.  If you are new to DocbookMD, you can go here to sign up: Sign up for DocbookMD

"Oops! A user with this email already exists, did you mean to log in instead?"

If you receive this error, you may have already claimed your account.  Use the email that you have entered on the login page, resetting your password if necessary.

DocbookMD can't find my account!

DocbookMD is a Secure Messaging App, and our security questions are in place to confirm your identity. Directly after the security questions, you will be required to sign a real HIPAA BAA, so it's important that we confirm your identity first. DocbookMD has no control over the security questions and answers and we're unable to see what is presented to you. The questions and answers are created by a third party who pulls the information from public records, and your credit history. If you do not have a lot of credit history, the questions may reach far back into your past.

For example - The question may ask you about a previous address, or someone that is related to you.

When registering, you may receive a message that our security system cannot verify your identity. This can be caused by one of the following -
1. You may have entered the last four digits of your social security number incorrectly.
2. You may have entered the incorrect zip code that they have on record for you. Try to enter the zip code shown on your state ID or driver’s license.
3. You were unable to successfully answer the security questions.
If this is your first attempt registering, you are able to register one more time before you are locked out. If you are denied access, contact DocbookMD Support.
